It was a beautiful rainy Thursday morning when International students from renowned private school “Shih Chien University” had the chance to participate in the prestigious Beef Noodle festival Press conference held at the Taipei city Hall, being the only school that attended the event.

They had prepared a very special and unique plate of beef noodles; the noodles had been stewed with German beer to give a little extra of the European flavor to this millenary dish that has been feeding masses of Taiwanese and Chinese people over the years.

The Press was fascinated in how these different students from all over the world had taken such a deep interest and honest appreciation in the traditional cuisine. The three of them have been here for about a year and had explored and gained admiration and respect for this rich culture, which is so deeply impregnated in its people and everywhere you go in Taiwan.

There were all types of different chefs, and just regular people displaying their very own take on beef noodles. Every each one of these dishes had been made carefully for the delight of the audience and the press. The presentation served as a preview of the Festival that will take place on November 17th at the Taipei Flora Expo Building.
